How it works
Three steps from signup to your first session

Create your profile
Tell us your languages and fluency level, the topics you can hold a conversation about, your interests, and the hours you're usually free. Add a photo and a short introduction — learners choose partners they feel comfortable with.
Match with a learner
We match on language, level, shared interests and overlapping availability. You get a request with the learner's profile and goal. Accept it and a session slot is booked; decline and nothing happens — declining does not affect your standing.
Talk, then get paid
Chat inside BECEARN for the booked session. Approved messages you send are added to your balance once the session is confirmed, and you withdraw once you pass the minimum threshold.

The whole model in plain terms, so you never have to guess where your balance comes from.
Who pays
Learners on paid monthly plans. BECEARN keeps a platform fee to cover matching, moderation, support and payment processing; the remainder funds partner earnings.Eligible partners can also earn rewards through the Partner Referral Program.
What you're paid for
Approved messages you send to a learner inside the platform, counted at the end of each session. Short filler replies may be excluded by our anti-spam check — see the rate card for what counts as an approved message. Waiting for a learner and off-platform chat are not paid.
Your rate
$1.00–$3.00 per approved message. Your rate depends on your assessment result, language pair and session type. You see the exact rate before you accept a session, and you're paid out in your own country's currency.
Bonuses
Earn additional rewards by reaching selected performance milestones. Bonuses may be available for completing a set number of sessions, maintaining a high learner rating, staying consistent throughout the month, achieving specific targets, or referring eligible new learners.
Limits and conditions
Weekly cap: 20,000 paid messages. Messages count only once the learner confirms the session took place, or the confirmation window of 24 hours passes. Cancelled and no-show sessions follow the payment terms.

How to read this example
Sending 1,200 messages over a week works out to about 170 messages per day. Reaching that volume depends on the number of sessions available, learner demand, your availability, and how many messages are exchanged during your completed sessions.
The example starts with $60.00 in gross earnings. After the sample platform and withdrawal fees shown above, the amount available to you would be $53.00. Actual rates and fees may differ, so check the current BECEARN earnings and withdrawal terms before relying on any example.
Your first weeks may look different as you become familiar with the platform, build your profile, and establish a history with learners. There may also be periods when fewer sessions are available in your language or preferred schedule.

No registration fee, ever
Creating an account, completing the assessment, and getting approved are free. BECEARN will never ask you to pay to be activated, unlock sessions, or release your earnings. If anyone asks you to send money for these reasons, do not pay them and contact official BECEARN support.

You use your own identity. We never ask you to impersonate another person.
No fake personas, no scripts written for you, no pretending to be a different age, gender or nationality. If a learner asks you to, report it — that request breaks our rules, not yours.What learners can see
Your first name, profile photo, country. Never shared: your surname, phone number, email, exact location, ID document or payment details.
Block and report
One tap in any conversation. Blocking is instant and permanent — a blocked learner can't message you, book you or see your profile again. Reports go to a moderator; you don't need proof to report.
Prohibited behaviour
Harassment, abuse, sexual content or advances, threats, spam, pressure for money, requests for your bank or M-Pesa details, and any attempt to manipulate or groom you. Confirmed cases mean a permanent ban for your account.
Off-platform contact
Moving a conversation to WhatsApp, Telegram or anywhere else is not allowed, for either side. Off-platform time isn't paid and can't be moderated or disputed. Sharing contact details is grounds for removal.

Is registration free?
Yes. Creating an account, completing verification, taking the assessment, and applying to become a partner are free. You are never required to pay an activation, training, or account-opening fee.
How much can I earn?
Earnings depend on the type of session, your language pair, and the amount of work you complete. As an example, approved messaging work may pay around $0.05 per message. Your actual earnings depend on the sessions and messages you complete.
When do I get paid?
Completed session earnings normally become available after a 24-hour clearing period. Once your cleared balance reaches the minimum withdrawal amount, you can request a payout. Payouts are processed on weekdays.
How do I withdraw my earnings?
You can withdraw from your BECEARN dashboard using an available payout method for your country, including M-Pesa, MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, PayPal, or bank transfer. Your payout account must be registered in the same name as your verified BECEARN account.
The minimum withdrawal is $10. Withdrawal fees depend on the payment method and are shown before you confirm your payout.
Are there any fees?
There is no fee to register or become a partner. The only standard charge you may pay is the applicable withdrawal fee when you cash out your earnings. Any applicable fee is displayed before you confirm the withdrawal.

BECEARN currently supports partners in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia and Botswana, with additional countries being added as payout support becomes available.

Do I need teaching experience?
No formal teaching qualification is required for standard conversation sessions. You should be comfortable communicating in the language you offer, listen well, and be able to keep a natural and respectful conversation.
Can I choose my working hours?
Yes. You choose when you are available and accept sessions that fit your schedule. There is no fixed daily schedule or minimum weekly commitment. However, once you accept a session, you are expected to complete it as agreed.
What happens if there is a problem with my payout?
If you believe a payout is missing or incorrect, contact support with your payout reference and the relevant transaction details. We will review the recorded session and payment information and provide an update.
How does verification work?
Before you can receive earnings, BECEARN may require identity verification and information needed to process your payouts. Verification helps protect accounts and reduce fraudulent activity.
Is my personal information protected?
Your personal and payment information is handled according to BECEARN's privacy and security practices. Other users do not receive access to your private contact details or payout information. See our privacy policy for details about how personal information is collected and used.
Can I choose which sessions I accept?
You can choose which available requests you accept based on the information provided before accepting. You are free to decline requests that do not fit your availability or preferences.
Can I block or report someone?
No. If another user behaves inappropriately or violates the platform rules, you can only report them through the available controls in the conversation. Blocking is done by the system after reviewing the report. Serious reports may be reviewed by the BECEARN support team.
Do conversations have to stay on BECEARN?
Yes. Sessions should remain on the BECEARN platform so that conversations, payments, and user protection can be properly recorded. You should not share private contact details with users or move paid sessions to external platforms.
What device do I need?
You can use a smartphone or computer with a modern, supported browser and a stable internet connection. A working microphone is required if you take voice-based sessions.
How fast does my internet need to be?
Text-based sessions can work with a modest connection. For voice sessions, a stable connection of around 5 Mbps or higher is recommended for a smoother experience.
What happens after I apply?
After registration, you complete the required profile information and verification steps. Depending on the opportunity you apply for, you may also complete an assessment before your account is approved for sessions.
